Was thinking of putting lower handlebars on my new CB400SB so it feels a little more "sporty". What do you think? Anyone done it??

when i got the sf it had some drag type bars a bit like the micron straights we used in the 80s... was fine at speed but god awful at town riding speeds.
ive heard alot say renthal lows are good on sf's but never had the opportunity to find out for meself.

You'll need to fit some higher risers if you use flat bars. I was going to fit mine soon but the bikes wrecked so they're poss available when I decide what to do about the bike

Just thought of this, you could just put straight bars on it. Get rid of the risers. You might even find some non riser bars that are bent backwards.

i had straights on mine when i got it before a massively nice member sorted me some original bars (they were a bit like the old micron straights of old) just one thing was bad with that... the whole brake lever/master cylinder assembly had to be a little unnaturally high otherwise the bolt for brake hose knocked out on yoke area.. so maybe riser would be advisable as it was annoying having to lift angle of hand to brake.

I had stock bars on mine when I got it, after my first spill I put a pair of Renthals on (without risers). The change was amazing, it was like a new bike :P Would recommend to anyone

what size of renthals did you put on your bike? I'm trying to decide between Low and Ultra Low at the minute? Any advice?
