anybody using a 120/70 front tyre on their 3tj?ive been offered a pair of track tyres but the front is 70 instead of the normal 60.they will only be used on track so no road work involved.i only ask as dont want to spoil the sweet handling for want of a tyre but theyre cheap and nearly new-cheers.

yes you can get away with them, just don't tell the c***s they are race tyres, but you can ride on 170 20 17 and 160 60 17

Just be careful that the higher profile tyre does not touch the rad under heavy braking. If you have raised the forks in the yokes by anymore than 4mm this WILL happen. Easy solution is to move the rad back and up slightly.
As a general rule the 70 tyre will increase turn in speed very slightly but the handling will be almost exactly the same.

Lowered the yokes = raised the forks = lowered front end

70 profile is miles better, you have a slighty bigger contact patch when fully over and turn in is nicer. I'm running a 125/80/17 slick on the front of my bike, but i do have problems with the wheel touching the rad in my hybrid. It is however the best front tyre I've ever used however. You'll be fine with a 170 though, I'd deffinately swap if i were you

Supercorsas rock! I was using a qualifier front (sc0) and soft rear (sc1). I usually use sc1 front sc2 rear but came across this pair cheap and gave them a go. Gripped like sh** to a blanket but you had to keep them up to temp to work them. Didnt last long though! Loads of feedback!
