nc30 electrical issues

hi all, just joined the forum.
I have owned my uk model nc30 for almost a year now.
when i bought her the electrics were totally shot. i replaced the R/R, indicator relay, and put in a good 2nd hand wiring loom (work taken out by workshop mechanic). this was 5 months ago.
however, yesterday i took her for a ride. i stopped to put fuel in after 5 minutes of riding, and when i pushed the ignition button, all the lights went out. i could hear a fuse going too. the weird part, is that if i turn the ignition off and back on after a minute or two, all the lights are back on the dash. by pushing the ignition button it continues to do the same thing. push starting the bike gets her going, but revs are low and she coughs and splutters terribly, and there is no power at all to get going.
has anybody seen this before or know what it could be?
i am also in need of a good mechanic / workshop who could pick the bike up from my place and provide good service, in the south west London area? I have absolutely no mechanical / electrical skills.
many thanks
