Hi all, just got my new spark plugs and will fit them tonight. The back ones look very simple to fit. However it looks very tight at the front. Is the idea to move the radiator at all? if so which part do i undo? Sorry about the simple questions but its my first bike. Oh and my bike is an nc30! :)

Will also take some pics tonight and get them on the forum for you all to see.

You'll need to take the top rad off completely matey.

ok mate thanks. is that the jubilee clips that are around the black tubes?

you dont have to remove the top rad completely,you can remove the lower bracket/bolt and swing it forward.its still a tight squeeze but if you want to have good access then the top rad is better off completely.

Hey mate just a quick pointer, you'll need a deep 13mm socket to fit the plugs.

I managed to do this without touching the rad. Took the tank & airbox off and that flap and used a wobbly socket to get in there. However after doing it this way I would say go for the moving the rad! I also found a magnetic pick up is a good wheeze to get the plugs in/out of the wells if you are using a 13mm deep socket i.e not a Spark Plug socket with the rubber insert.

Prepare to swear and graze your knuckles :D

Horses for courses but when you have an RLR top radiator I'd sooner take it off, if you have the bike stripped that much then a few jubilee clips and hoses and take the thing off.

if you are new to the bike, then no better way of getting to know it then taking it apart!!
for me i take all my new (second hand) bikes to pieces, clean the shite out of them, smear all necessary threads in copper grease and then scottoil 365 it

+1 to that, iv re built almost everypart of the bike now and now I no its all good and whats going on in there, just got engine and suspension to do now...

tis true,can't beat getting use to stripping the bike down.in the long run you save yourself a fortune taking on tasks yersel!!!
