Does an vfr nc30 shock fit straight into an rvf...no chopping or hacking required?

I wanting to upgrade my suspension all round and just checking out some options. Thinking about a refurbed rear shock with new spring or a used aftermarket shock with new spring. The front will get an upgrade kit from Mr.RO but Im not sure if it will require new spring set or just the valve kit.

Is the rvf shock refurb-able or did I read it wrong somewhere on here that it is not?

Simple answer, yes, they are interchangable.
