Hi, I don't suppose theres anyone near shrewsbury who could give me a hand with bleeding my brakes on saturday afternoon?

How bad are they? A spare hand to nip up the bleed nippl is useful if you don't have a speed bleeder kind of affair.

If they are not bad and you can get to whitchurch safely, I'll help you!!

I'm in wolvo... if your still stuck lemme know, as long as im not at work I dont' mind nipping upto the old town of flowers :D (if it still says that on the sign) and helpin out.

Its that ive put a whole new set on with the new front end but on the same master cylinder. Ive tried following the instructions and just keep getting stuck (felt like such a fool last night after getting everything but that done). Once the brakes are bled in it will be ready for whitchurch. P.S. Rick o's rads are about 100% better than the rads that were on it, I had it running for a good 20 minutes to burp the cooling system and the temp needle didn't even move.

if your MC is good then you shouldnt have to much trouble, its just a bit deflating at first when it seems your not getting anywhere, first time i bleed brakes was with a fresh set of braided lines and it just didnt seem like i was getting anywhere for ages. Best way ive found over the years is

Start bleeding the MC end first if you have a bleed nipple up there
Then the furthest line, ie the left caliper
Then the right

+1 on those speed bleeders, i have a mitivac and can bleed a full system front and rear in a matter of minutes now

Just realised that I need to get the brakes done tonight or tommorow morning, Anyone about near shrewsbury either of those, (some petrol money and a cuppa are on offer)

How about putting a pipe on the bleed nipple and putting the other end on a small syringe (like they use for printer refilling) and drawing the fluid thru? may help get it started.

Finally managed to get the brakes sorted tonight (thanks to a mate who happened to be back from Aber at the right time). Thanks to Neosophist for offering to help much appreciated and sorry for messing you about. Just need to get the lowers on now. Then BMC in the morning.
