Brake upgrade.

My brakes are rubbish and disks are knackered, so which newer brakes fit an NC30?
I think I've seen cbr600 brakes on one somewhere?

Lots of breaks do :)
Rick Oliver does a kit to allow the fitting of SP1 (I think) Calipers? (ask him) and Spike16 (he has 600? calipers)
I've always found the standard calipers and pads on the NC30 more than enough for the bike? Maybe you just need new fluid and a good strip down and clean of your calipers? (would probably be cheaper)

Your better off overhauling your standard calipers as cbr600rr calipers will fit but will need brackets.
I think the standard braking system is more than adequate for the road so no point spending loads on an upgrade - just my opinion.

I have cbr600 calipars on my nc30 and they are quite powerful, i have new braided lines and oe pads and cost me £200 altogether but you can notice the difference, ive gone from 100-0mph in less than 200yards.
The disks should be your main worry if they really are knakered

+1 for standard brakes set up properly, make sure the rotors are in good nick, change the fluid, put some braided lines on and some decent pads in and they will stop as good as any system.
The standard ones set up with decent pads will lift the rear wheel with ease, you can't brake harder than that.

+1 on the oe brakes
my NC30 brakes are still running oe lines too and clen calipers and new pads and fluid that doesnt look like chip fat and i think my NC30 brakes are easily as good as my 600RR and even dare i say better than the ducati too. bit of give in the lever so in a panic and you go for a handfull of brake you dont end up on your face like you could on the cbr

Okay, so brake cleaner, new fluid, and maybe braided lines?

pop your pistons out and clean them too, check your seals and if there good give them a clean.

Yeah, strip everything down, give it a good cleaning (pistons out to make sure their ok and the piston seals are still good), braided brake lines are great and will last a lifetime (worth doing while you have it all stripped down) do it all properly.
Honda's OE pads are Fantastic (druid will agree with me on this I think!) stick with them
