My current gauge cluster of my NC31 is malfunctioning, and I've found another one for a really good price...thing is, it has a lot more miles than mine. I do not like that, and I've been wondering if there's a way to "rewind" the odometer so I can put the same actual miles my bike has, so when it comes to sell, it doesn't lose much of it's value.

Ok, so I got around fiddling with one of the clusters...I completely dissembled it, and got to the odometer assembly...I was trying to rewind the numbers, but can't seem to work my way around it...and don't know what else I can do at this moment...

How do you remove the needle? I'm afraid of breaking it or the speedometer face. I'm just looking at the odo assembly trying to find a way to continue disassembling it.

ive heard of people forcing the oitside plate of a cluster out wider... moving numbers then moving the edge back in place, never tried it but it sounds feesable

Ok, so I did it. Just inserted a clock screwdriver between the number wheels, moved a little tab under and then manually moved the numbers to match the actual mileage.

Thing is...I disassembled a part of the odometer assembly, and didn't recall how exactly it went...I reversed the whole process, and everything works, except that now the speedometer and odometer won't work.

I'm already tired fiddling with it for today, will open it up tomorrow and check for any lose connections...don't know if I could have broken the odometer
