NC30 gearing and chain options

I'm rather stunted with all the options open for gearing, maybe you guys can shed some light on my dilemma...
I don't plan on using the bike for track days just yet, but we have some phenomenal mountain roads up here, and while the lowest possible ratio would be fun- long distance drives must be taken into account also. As the top legal speed on the highways is round
100 km/h I would reckon the 45 tooth talon on the rear and 14 on the front wouldn't make the bike uncomfortably revvy at top gear right? Long time since I rode the machine so I can't seem to gauge it myself.

Also, chains- 525 vs 520
Is the weight shaving gain of the 520 anything to care about?
Rick has a 49 tooth rear for the 520, something to think about?

Let er rip chaps

Cheers
Robert

i use to run -1 at the front on my nc35, much nicer to ride and aslong as your not motorway riding everyday its fine.

if i were replacing both chain and sprockets then id go for 520, probably not worth doing if your only replacing the front tho.

You havbe no chance fitting a 49 tooth rear matey.

I use 14/41 on the road bike..it is great.

Oh yeah? Sounds like a challenge to me!

Hah, I think I'll take a chance an slap on the 45 rear- show these Gixxer posers round here what a waste of insurance payouts their bikes are...

14/44 every time. Revs out at about 100mph and plenty of acceleration. Not sure if there's much difference between 525 and 520, I use 520 out of habit.
