Im putting my spare fuel tank on the bike whilst my main tank is being resprayed, only thing is the bloke who had it before me left the tank outside, now there is rust inside the tank (not really bad, just surface) whats the best way to get this out?

get some rust converter, put it in the tank and give it an occassional swish around, leave it in for bout 30-45 mins (longer the better) then rince with a white spirit (metho) :)
to be safe, id remove the fuel tap cause the rust converters some evil stuff, try not to get any on your paint :) :)
good luck, Tim

I'd get the rust out first/ Handful of nuts and give the tank a good swilling to dislodge the loose flakes.
The treat it with something...and make sure all the nuts and dust are out of the tank first!
