hi all, got a 1991 cbr 400rr at the weekend for a project. fairings are needing changed.

noticed right side bar end did'nt look right and took the bar end off, inside the bar end must have been locking system which the screw goes into.... its snapped off inside now!

will i have to get new right hand side handlebar?

welcome to the site chris,

get some pics posted up asap!

it was probably caused by the bike falling over.. it happened to mine and I have temporarily glued it back in!

you could always drill it out?

or a new clip on shouldnt cost much...

fireblade heelplates arrived today and they are just standard ones, not sure if to polish them up or paint them.
also my renthal race grips arrived with my motrax barends once i get them fitted will post pictures up.

this weekend i am going to replace the oil and filter and some fresh coolant into it as well.

just quick question, after looking through most of the post's about cbr600 rear shocks what is the best model and year to buy?

for what it costs i would do the springs and fresh fork oil, and the rear shock i used a cbr6 fsport 2001 but this only had a short lead to the resovoir (the long lead gives you more options on where to fit the resovoir) the difference with fresh oil and springs and the rear shock conversion are massive

something like this one?

got back wheel to get a new tyre on it at the weekend. but might hold it off as both wheels are real bad with paint peeling off.

yes thats the exact shock i got but the price is a bit steep i paid £20 for mine and it looks almost new, (this is the short resovoir)
