Anyone fitted fitted Bridgeston BT014's? I'm looking to order some 090's but 014 seem to be available for the 18" rim.
Has anyone has these fitted? How did they get on with them?

you can get bt90s at 150/60 18 for the rear no bother. i would just try another tyre place, or if you can wait, have them bring it in on their nxt batch

I can get both types, i was wondering with the 014 being a later tyre whether it was an improvment on the 090. Later tyre technology and all that.

The 014 is more of a 600cc+ tyre, although the bike weight is the same (or less these days!) it has to cope with lots of extra power (double just for a 600) in comparison. The 090 is designed for the lower power bikes.

I'd expect you to get more life out of the 014 at the expense of not warming it up as quickly and in the real world offering less grip due to not being warmed up enough. I've never tried them though.

Having used both 090's and 014's I can assure you that the 090 is a better tyre. Nothing to do with the speed rating crap that people talk about as I didn't find any problem getting heat into the 014 and I'm just a Joe Bloggs rider. I'd choose the 090's because they 'feel' better to ride on, you get more of a response and feedback from them. My advice is getthe 090's (as many on here will concur)

nothing new to add really, 014's grip ok, but you dont get the same feedback as with 090's..

090's all the way, even though i've never ridden on the 014's so can't really say much. 090's do feel good to ride on though!

I see your choice for the BT090's, which is excellent for 400cc machines.

On my NC30 I use on front BT090 and rear BT010 (front tyre gives me good response and warms up quick, rear tyre needs very little time extra to warm up, also gives good response and last longer. No problem with this set-up).

On my NC35 I had same set-up but reversed (meaning front BT010 and rear BT090). It came with the bike, but I would not reckon anyone to have this set-up, as the front doesn't give the correct response/feel and needed a lot of time to warm up properly. I now changed the front to BT090 and that's the best set-up for the bike IMO ;)
