Hey all,

I am having great difficulty getting my wheel spindle nut into the thread! The nut thread just seems too big??

Is it meant to be an interference fit, or have I got a mix match of nut and spindles?

It should pop in nicely - no messing at all.

You might have something mixed up?

Firstly, are you trying to put the old nut back on?

Because it is my belief that every time you take it off, you should buy a new nut - when they are tightened to the proper torque they 'self sacrifice' themselves somewhat to get the tightest possible connection, often meaning that they're v.hard to put back on as the threads are bent ever so slightly.

Sorry to comment on your views but if you had to use a new wheel nut everytime you take it off you would just be damaging your wallet. And the troque loading is there to protect the nut and thread. If your going to be concerned about the nut then you should be concerned about the thread too. (Also the R clip/split pin is there so even if it does brake the thread you it'll stay in)

Back on subject, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to put on using your hands, i'd put some grease on the tread, other wise dare i say it may be... crossthreaded

Hmm, you're probably right, I've never done it myself, I'm just going by what it says in the manual =/
