Leave the can the standard length, but if you can manipulate the link pipe and make it run higher up and along with the seat, that would look good.
Also, your rear sprocket is on the wrong way

+1 on the link pipe! :)
Very nice carbon/kevlar can! Looks a bit like mine, only the spout is different! I can see the Japanese badge on it (JMCA I think?), but is it also a Yamamoto can?

Im glad you picked that up...thats the way round the sproket was when i brought the bike and i always thought thats the wrong way but i thought if its been running like this then leave it as it is, does it make much differnece?
Also i see what you mean about the angle of the can, i reckon it can be manipulated to run in line.
Speedy, Im not sure on the make of the can, Looks very similar to JHA and Gandor cans tho, Link pipe is custom made by Graeme France and is top quality (cheers graeme), system is yammoto.

Yeah, don't chop it..
Short cans are for people with short wieners..
Looks really nice that bike BTW - quality.

Best keep that can as it is then :D
Cheers mark, been wanting to paint in satin black for ages, hasnt come out to bad considering. Just needs some white number boards front and back and maybe a NC35 decal somewhere and thats its. Will get some more pics up soon.

keep standard length and get it to run with the tail
yeh the sprocket is wrong, mine was like that too, when i replaced it wil rethal i rode with it the wrong way round for a bit then swapped over and you could see wear on one side of the sprocket teath but not the other which indicated it was not lining up right and the chain was no strait

It's only a small groove, but it will throw the alignment out a bit therefore killing the chain and sprox a bit sooner. I take it that the carbon-kevlar is a wrap around an alloy slieve. That's how the cans are on my JHA. Personally, I'd not chop the can.

Viper, not sure about it being a wrap around, hadnt paid that much attention to it to be honest, it is quite a heavy can tho.
Dont worry im not gunna chop the can, ive had a fiddle with it and the 3 bolt flange does slide along the link pipe about an inch and also where the link pipe meets the system its a little too loose causing the odd angle with the can. The inside bore of the link pipe is a smidge too big, im sure if i wrap some exhaust bandage round the system outlet and get that joint tight the can will exit at the right angle.
