Hi guys

so I eventually got the bike started but it runs really bad, ticks over ok but when you rev it it stutters and pops etc.

The rear pipes dont even get hot you can touch them no probs so the back cylinders are not firing, any ideas?

I have given it a service but any carb advice would be appreciated as before I got it it had been sitting for a while and the petrol in it was really old and stale.

I was wondering how hard it is to service the carbs? Balance them and any other advice on fuelling?

Is it worth going for a good blast to try to clear any crap out first before dismantling? Maybe will get freash fuel through and clear itself???? I wish ha ha.....

Cheers

Steve

before going for a blast you need to get it running on 4.

do they get warm at all or stay cold?

if they get warm then the back two cylinders must be firing but very poorly, this is most definately a fuel/air problem.unless it is a poor spark.

check the rear spark plugs to see how well they are sparking!!!!

how well does the choke work?

i would buy a haynes manual, well worth the money.

Hi mate

the back 2 get hardly warm, more like tepid........ 1 is stone cold and one is warmish only...

I have a haynes manual and I would like to clean, adjust the carbs but wanted tips on how to do this? I think because its been sat outside and not had any decent fuel through it it is well worth doing. Is there a drill bit method as dont have lots of tools plus it has Tyga fairings on.....

How do I check the rear plugs for good spark?
