im about to start slowly putting my little viffer back together and i need to clean the headrace bearings. they were replaced prior to me buying it and because the bike hasnt been ridden for ages they are in perfect condition although the grease has gone a bit rank. does anyone have any ideas for cleaning them without ruining them?

Petrol or kerosene ( i think you guys call it paraffin) in a small dish and a paintbrush will have them clean in no time.
