NC30 running badly

Hi folks

I have an annoying issue with my completely original 1989 NC30. Been trying to get it to run properly for a while now and seem to have run out of ideas to fix....It will start and rev in the garage but won't pull when riding, then stops as if there is a fuel starvation. After a while it will run again enough to get me home but only if I rev it and slip the clutch all the way. Seems like there's no torque....

So I have stripped and ultrasound cleaned the carbs (several times) checked float levels carefully, set up butterflies using drill bit method, rigged up vacuum gauges and they look close enough, new HT leads all within recommended resistance numbers, checked fuel flowing nicely from fuel tap when sucking on the vacuum pipe....

What am I missing? Could it be some dark electrical demon lurking within??

Thanks for reading...
