Could someone please give me the diameter of one of the headlights on an NC30?

I have an idea and need this measurement. But without access to my bike at the moment I am stuck.

Many thanks

you did spike and I gave you a rough guess from what I could remember!!

Turns out i was slightly wrong on the info I gave you - only 12mm tho!

Anyway - the reason for asking is that i am thinking of replacing the headlights with some more modern looking ones - maybe projector style or ones with a clear lens instead of having all the lines on it - does that make sense?

And as I'm in Afghanistan there aren't too many NC30's knocking around - especially in the middle of the Helmand province! I thought I'd get the right info of the people that know :D

Thanks very much for the measurement Gazzahh. I now know what size to look for. 8-)

Cheers

Hi Smev/Spike/Gazzahh

Smev, hope you don't mind me jumping in on your topic as I'm looking to do the same too but the options seem limited!

What I'm really keen on is having angel eye/halo style lights (thus replacing the dipped beam) but haven't been able to find any the right diameter. There were some on ebay once but have never re-appeared.

Can you post an update of what lights (if any) you get hold of, cheers.

fair play mate, hope you keeping them guns going and be safe out there

shame they didnt let you take the bike tho, a friend of mines a officer in the navy (engineer on aircraft carrier) and he managed to blag his ducati 900ss haliwood tt rep onto the carrier, stuffed it in the corner of the harrier service bay and used to work on it in the evenings and to test ride it used to blat up the flight deck! :o but that was along time ago aparently

im interested in doing angle eyes but its not the dip beem it repaces but the side lights, you take the sidelight bulb out and have the wires coming back out of the sude lights hole, HID'S and angle eyes would look great imo :) just aslong as the HID's didnt melt everything else

No probs padawan!

All I have done is a google search for 'spotlights for cars' and 'projector lights for cars' - there are a few available here and there with angel eyes as side lights like spike said.

The nearest size I have seen are 4" diameter ones. Still just an idea at the moment.

Mo - I'm at Bastion at the moment - only been up here for a week usually at Kandahar with 1310flt Chinooks - done 3 weeks out here in total so far this tour - 5 weeks to go! but by the end of this tour I'll have done 12 months in this shitty country.
