The only drive I know that can be run from the front wheel is either an Acewell or even a push-bike speedo. I use the ove from a push-bike for about a year and it was fairly acurate. Most (if not all) speedo drives that come from the front wheel have a little hub at the wheel that'll turn the speedo.

the 1991 cbr600f came with the speedo drive on the front wheel,
would a 91 cbr front wheel go straight in?

I think so.
The early fireblades have front-wheel drive too, but it's 16"
would make it interesting.. 16/18" wheels, just like an NC24 but with better profile sizes for more rubber.
Something I really wanna try on an NC30. :D

+1
>£10 for a speedo inc magnetic drive! i used one last year for 8months with no problems, not that i condone riding without utmost care and attention, but i set it up and then fiddled with it after comparing to the tomtom gps speed. managed to get it spot on damnedest accurate speedo ive ever had on a bike.
