Hi Team,
My NC29 doesn't go to main-beam/low-beam only high-beam. Any ideas why?

When did it stop giving low beam. High beam is relay driven. Low beam handle bar switch. What wattage bulbs. Low bean usually lower wattage to stop switch burnout. High beam relay doesn't care.

The bike was 5 years covered in the garage but they were definitely working before that. All the fuses are brand new. The bulbs are 12V60/35W (Japanese edition) - do you think I should open the switch to see what's going on inside?

Correct bulbs. Possible switch is faulty, you could take a look , also trace the wiring from the switch to the headlight confirm the link is complete. A multimeter would confirm voltage from the switch to the headlight.

Check for mice/rodents. They like motorcycle wiring looms

It was the bulbs, lads. The high beam works perfectly, but the low beam was gone. I read on a forum that this could happen. I remembered I had a spare bulb (for testing), and now I just need to purchase 55W H4s to meet UK standards. Thanks for the help—problem solved.

If you're upgrading from 35w to 55w, I'd recommend fitting a relay, the OEM wiring isn't up to coping with 55w bulbs.

I was reading the manual and they didn't said anything about upgrading the relay... this is straight from the book.

UK spec looms have thicker gauge wire than JDM.

Can you recommend a relay from eBay for the upgrade, please? Or 35W bulbs from Amazon that I can use? The current bulb I’m using for testing has very low light and doesn’t look good. I can barely see the low beam light. Also why would the service book shows compatibility for 55w but doesn't mention relay upgrade? I am confused by your suggestion.
