First off hi to you all

ok I got fascinated by the idea.

How much amount does it, take? has anyone done it? I saw some pics but it was from a slingshot gsxr 400 with a oilcooled 750, I wanted to do it with a 750w because aparently they are tinyer and the radiator is not that big, I also notice some work on the gas tank for making space for the valve cover and last it seems that you need some custom made front engine mounts made but like I said this was a conversion from a oilcooled 750 engine into a gsxr400 watercooled slingshot, even a frame from a gsxr 750w is diferent (althought not to everyone's eyes) from a oilcooled one.

Because like I said I got hooked up on the idea of having a trackday only fun bike I got myself a gsxr 400 GK76A frame, a 1994 WP engine and I'll start from there.

Then I plan on fit diferent forks too, perhaps R6 2006 onwards seems a nice compromise due to size weight and height of the bike those or front forks were zx400r usd forks with proper revaling and heavier springs and suzuki rgv 250 again with the same mods or maybe aprilia rs 250 or erlier showa 916 since their are short and fully of adjustmentsnot so sure about rear swingarm but I'll of figure something.
Any input and help on this matter would be deeply appreciated (this bike as far as I can remmember wasn't even sold Portugal) therefore my knowledge is far from limited.

Cheers

Diogo

Is it you that's posted on http://www.oldskoolsuzuki.info" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ???

If you go to "Watercooled" you'll find a thread asking this question, there's another link within the thread to an older one.

Personally I'd think you'll need to brace the headstock and I'd probably use RGV front end as first choice and SRAD750 second. Theres a banana swingarm in the oldskool's for sale section which could be nice but maybe a bit heavy.

Thats a little unfair I think Diogo. But I do know what you mean, sure the GSXR crowd dont have a lot to say from what Ive read so far, but us V4 boys in the honda section have lots o threads on all ranges of fettling, modifiying and tech things.

Anway I bought my second 76a this morning and will be looking into work on it as I have not much of a clue on them like the V4 (had 5 V4's now) so if anyone can point me into what I should be looking at as options to the 76 then go ahead.
