where is the engine number on a NC30??

im really dont know if its the hangover from hell or old age creeping up... or maybe im going blind from too much 'alone-time'... either way, can i find the engine number on my NC30-like the c0ck i can!!

anyone save me further embarrasement on this one?

Should be stamped on the crankcase on the right hand side of the bike with the bike facing forward.
Some of them come with the engine number missing which if I recall correctly can be todo with a trick race teams used to pull. Something about ordering new engines for spares...
Seems lightning strikes twice too (since I thought I had bought a knock off bike) as the V5 for the replacement frame I got had it as "not known".

it is stamped into the top of the crancase on the right handside of the engine
to view it i believe you will have to remove the seat unit and possibly the tank...you have to look down the inside of the frame where the seat unit meets the frame...slightly forward of the rear spark plug access hole(in the seat unit)

If you use a torch you can see it without removing anything, just shine it down the r/h seat unit cutout in between the 'v'.
