any one ridden a 120/70 front versus a 120/60 front and does it make a big difference. I know it makes the sidewall 72mm as opposed to 84mm does this also alter the angle out from the rim?

the 150 v 160 has sooooo many threads here anyways, i run on a 160 but have never had mine on 150 so nought to compare to. will say i started on a 160 metzeler rennsport and it was wicked, sticky as hell but on isle of wight/shi*e roads its a fine line between grip and longivity of tyre = cost. now on conti road attacks and they are alright but did notice longer to warm up. front has gone and this is why the Q has arised.

I have ran before
Bridgestone
Front tire size 120/60-R17 55H
Rear tire size 150/60-R17 66
As for me quite well (went about 4000 km), now I running with
Pirelli Diablo Strada
Front tire size 120/60-R17 55H
Rear tire size 160/60-R17 66
No to much difference really. Good handling the corner, I also can state a fact that Pirelli better for me, first - this is new one, second - it quite stable on the road especially after +10 weather.

I ran 120/60/17 (stock size) for years on zxr's then swapped to a 120/70/17
after dropping the front (forks up through yokes) to compensate for the extra height it "feels" the same, but i dont run out of front tyre as quick.
whether it'll hit the mudguard on a cbr i dont know though.

Not sure if I'm on the wrong path, but would think you would run out of tyre sooner on a 70 tyre compared to a 60, due to the tyrewall being smaller on the 60?
I run a 120/70 on my nc29, works well. Havent tried a 120/60 tho

Thinner or taller walls = quick corner turn in
fatter or shorter walls = slower turn in
it all depends on how you like your corners
