Ridiculously tight pinch bolts? NC24

Hey there

I'm kinda new to bikes so any help is appreciated :D

Before i bought the bike it had been sitting a while, so naturally when i started riding the chain has loosened up...(rather a lot i might add  )

So, I'm out there with a spanner and watnot trying to adjust the chain tension, but the bloody pinch bolts are stuck solid! :?

Will I need a paddock stand or something to take the weight off the rear wheel before I do it or will i just need to borrow a nice big wrench from somewhere??

Any help is appreciated :D

This is the first time I've done this on a single sided swingarm, tis kinda confusing!

(also, any help for what to do AFTER I've loosened the pinch bolts would be helpful, I'm guessing I just loosen the spindle bolt and slide it back?? )

Thanks!

Whoop...nevermind haha

I just went a borrowed a mahoosive torque wrench from a neighbour, everythings done! though I think I may have damaged the adjuster somewhat :D

Looks like I'll be needing a new sprocket/chain set in the new year though :( went past the max adjustment mark :( oh well...MORE expense.... haha :P

Haha.

Yes my NC24 was so bad we got 1 out and the other had a rounded nut so it was staying put.

Took it to a friends garage . 5 minutes he said ... 30 minutes later he said come back tommorow.

Came back the next day and the ENTIRE !!!! rear end was off the bike and brand new high tensile hex head bolts were installed hahahaha ... total cost 6 euro or about 8 us $

I surmise that the bolts havent been removed for many years so I am assuming that the previous owner waited till the chain was sufficently slack then removed a link ..... nice ... NOT
