Well im rebuilding my honda NC24 and the rear exhausts and collector are shot big time, I have not be able to get hold off the correct NC24 one's but i can get brand new NC21 ones for good money, my question is has anyone tried to fit these to an NC24 before and if so how hard was it?

The bloke who has them reckons if I modify the silencer link pipe it will be fine??

Many thanks

You will be right - the can sits lower as far as I know. Some of the 24 crew will be along soonn and tell you..

If you can get one I would go for it and worry about the linkpipe later..

I was staring to think down those lines too, even if only the rear exhaust pipes can be used.

I have both a NC21 and a NC24 collector lying around in my garage and as far as I can see, only the pipe towards the exhaust is different.
I'd just get the thing and modify it. They're hard to get hold of anyway and you'll probably just have to bend the rear pipe slightly upwards.

Good luck with it! ;)

You wouldn't have a pair of rear exhaust's and the collector you would like to kick over my way???

Its the rear exhausts that have gone completely, and collector is quite rusty and the bit that goes to the silencer has come off but might well be repairable.

The nc21 and nc24 exhaust systems are completely interchangable.I had the nc21 exhaust on my nc24.The silencer just sits at a lower level. This gives you the advantages of more space for the pillion's leg, less chance of burning or melting an item of luggage strapped to the pillion seat, and you can fit the centre stand from the vfr400k so no more messing around with expensive paddock stands or axle stands
