				Hi
How would i derestrict a 1wg
I understand the speedo sends a signal to the cdi at 0 mph and once its moving sends another signal
Can you rewire it to unrestrict it or do i need a m max box to rectify
the speedo cable is removed
Appreciate any help

Could you get a speedo healer and get it to read in MPH on the speedo (if it is a KM bike?)

Hi thanks for your reply the Speedo drive has been removed as it was a track bike
Was hoping to be able to bypass it if possible

Has the entire speedo itself been removed?
It may be that it is an M-Max box needed but my understanding of how they work on the Yamaha is limited. if yuo are not precious about the speedo - you could upoen it, pint he needle at 10mph and it is then always in the correct range for running without restriction.
maybe magg will pop in and share his wisdom adn downright cleverness when talking electrical stuff.
I have a "somebody elses problem field" when thinking electrons...

				Hi
The Speedo is still in place
Be interested if you could open it up but my understanding is it needs to read 0mph when you turn it on

Pull the brown and orange wires from the back of the speedo and connect them together. That's how I did it on my race bike over a decade ago.
Basically, the brown is 12v feed. The orange is the voltage return signal. Provided the orange has 12v back to the CDI, the restrictor will never operate.
