Hi, new to the site and also new to vfr400 nc30, On removal of the fairing to change the oil and filter I have noticed that the bike is not fitted with the correct fan due to a water type oil cooler being fitted . I have now got the correct fan but still not enough clearance, I have looked through this site hoping to find a resolution without success, if I remove the oil cooler which is fitted with a through type bolt I will require the original threaded stub that fits in the crankcase that the oil filter screws on to, does anyone have one spare or know if there is a part number for it?. I am only going to use the bike for pleasure no track days or racing and as the bike was not fitted with it when new don't see the need for it. I can loop the water pipes on the water pump cover or replace the cover with an original type one without the outlets. I would just like the bike to be as it left the factory also it will resolve the issue of the oil filter virtually touching the exhaust header. Thanks in advance for your replies .
