NC30: Total battery depletion when riding with headlights on
Posted: Sat Jul 11, 2020 9:46 pm
Hi everyone,
I just registered to this forum again as I couldn't remember my login I'd been using a few years ago.
So hi again
I consider this forum to be the best place to get competent answers to any questions regarding VFR400Rs.
I've had an issue within the last two years where I couldn't start the engine by hitting the starter button after riding for a while.
So I always used to push-start it. I finally found that leaving the light switch in the "off" position would help the battery to recover and eventually provide enough power to start the engine again after a few additional hours of riding. As for now I am still riding with "the lights out" which is of course a safety problem.
Does anyone have an idea what may cause that problem or what to do to troubleshoot it?
