Honda CBR 400RR NC29 Manufacturer tag?

Hello everyone,

As part of the process for registering my NC29 here in Spain, I have been asked to provide a picture of the manufacturer's tag (small metal tag with the motorcycle details stamped on it). I haven´t stripped down the bike yet, but after looking in all the obvious place that are in plain sight, I haven't managed to find it.

Does anyone know if these bikes came with one? The frame and engine numbers are present and easy to see and read but, other than the sticker with the color code under the pillon seat, I haven´t come across anything that resembles a metal tag.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers,

Jose

They just have the engine/frame numbers and as you have found the colour code on the inside of the rear mudguard under the million seat.
Never thought about it to be fair, my other bike had it but it never occurred to me that the nc never had one.

Many thanks CBR400RRN. I guess I will have to find a way around it. Hopefully I can still register it with the Frame and Engine numbers.

Cheers

Don't know how it works there but if it never had a tag surely they can't refuse you, there must be thousands of bikes registered without the tags.
Fingers crossed for you

J-spec bikes don`t have VIN plates and that is a problem in Spain as the registration authorities demand that there is one fitted - I helped one of my Spanish customers out last year with a new VIN plate for his NC30, drop me an email and I will give you a contact for the company in the UK that produces them.

Many thanks both. Really appreciated.

Rick, I will drop you a line later tonight, so we can take it from there.

Thanks again!
