Hi everyone

My first post here so here goes

I recently picked up an NC29 for basically pennies and got it running etc , but it blew a hole in the downpipes as soon as I gave it some revs , so I started to investigate the exhaust and let's just say it's more rust than steel now so I'm on the hunt for a solution to my non existent exhaust

I cant find any NC29 exhaust that are cheap.enough for me to justify, but there are a few nc23 exhausts about made by delkevic etc , they look basically the same to me other than the rear mount , is there any other modification involved to make them fit? or is it pretty straight forward , I can make any brackets etc

Be very careful when it comes to cheap aftermarket exhausts for the CBR 400 either NC23 or NC29 as there are some very poor quality replacements, I've been out of the game for a while now so I'm not sure how the Delkevic performs maybe someone else can shed some light on them,

Yes you are correct the exhausts are exactly the same bar the rear mount, give GF-racing a shout he's your best bet for second had parts for these bikes chances are he'll have what your looking for:

As has been said ask Graeme France https://gfracinguk.com if he has any good second hand ones, losing 5bhp from a 200bhp motorbike isn't a great loss but losing 5bhp from a bike only producing 59bhp as standard is a hell of a lot so it's better to ask those in the know than buy a cheap brand exhaust
