Will rvf400 race bikes appreciate ?

A place to bang on about subjects close to your heart that affect us all as 400cc riders. general banter is rife, however rudeness and abuse seem to be the norm, If a bit wet round the ears best go play elsewhere. Auto pruning of items 31 days and older

Will rvf400 race bikes appreciate ?

Post by nc23rider » Wed Feb 27, 2019 9:53 am

Hi, what are peoples views on how a rvf400 race bike would appreciate.
I have an immaculate full spec rlr built rvf (raced by maria Costello) I brought it some time ago
with a view to racing it,but the the bike is in far to good a condition for me to risk dropping it
and I have since moved on to 600's.
it has been stored for the last 8 months doing nothing.
What are peoples opinions on the value in 3 to 4 years time (ie if it was valued at £5000 now would it be the same in years to come)
just thinking of the value of cars I used to have rs2000/ lotus sunbeams/chevette hsr which were dirt cheap in the day but now!!!!!!!
thanks for anybodys views.

Certainly less NC35's being raced now although there are still plenty of people racing NC30's.
The NC35 does seem to have a certain desirability and given the history of your bike, it's certainly not going to loose you any money over time so if you can hang on to it then do so.
Maybe just come out for the odd trackday and enjoy riding it with a bit less commitment

I reckon there will need to be classes for them to race in - I hope so...but not sure I see it

The V4 is the law..

NC30 - No9 > My old mate
2005 ZX10 C1H - smashed it to death @Jerez :(
