Hi guys i very recently bought a fzr400rr and its an awesome bike but when i put her in gear sometimes she will die instantly and will only run if i push start it which is weird because it seems to be cutting spark when it happens any ideas?

That is the sidestand switch which has probably had its best time. There is a switch behind the sidestand that prevents you from putting it into gear with the sidestand still out.

Either you still have the sidestand out, or the switch is covered in crap and isnt always working. A good clean usually does the trick.
