Hello all,

I am planning to buy a VFR 400 R, NC24. I own the big brother and want something that I can build up. When finished it should also be in Rothmans colour code like my VF1000RG.

First Bike I looked after was rotten and no chance to get it running with reasonable effort.

Still seeking in the netherlands because here in Germany they are very rare.

Axel from Bochum

Hallo Axel,
I own one in Poland (Oberschlesien) but not willing to sell.
But I'm quite often in Ruhrgebiet area (Muelheim) and if needed could support if needed (from time to time there are some old 400's turning up at offers here)

what are the prices like? Perhaps importing one from Japan if the paperwork isnt too difficult is going to be easier? They dont fetch as much as the nc30

One sold at auction this year in march with only 1500km on the clocks and dry stored from new, everything on it was like it came from the factory, that fetched 2000 usd.

There was a similar rotten barn find type one that sold for 5 usd last week.

the average price for a decent ages bike is about 700usd.

Poles are known to import cars and bikes from all western Europe... Mine came from Holland, but I've also seen a few from UK (but as for today I see no VFR's for sale)
There's 2 reasonably looking ZXR's, but I find price level circa 2k EUR too high. Would say 1,5k EUR sound more reasonable.

or some Suzuki's like this Custom GSX above 1k EUR

If bike comes with full and clear paperwork, believe shall be no problem to register it, we're still all within EU...
