ethos 1/2 race and side stand

My bike has an old ethos half race exhaust system fitted, and it seems that it interferes with the side stand. I cant lean a bit without scraping it along the ground.
I bought a new stand from a member here and i now realise why the old one that was previously fitted to the bike was ground away and hardly suitible for keeping my bike up.
Im curious, for the members who have this exhaust fitted, what do you do about this problem?

most aftermarket systems for the '30/35's all foul the pipework,it's just a given ,but if your bike is track only ,ditch the stand and if it's road bike, ride a little slower as touching down the stand on the road is a bit mental ..

I had similar issues with my TSR system. I could space the stand out to clear the exhaust (by a mm or 2), but I still found the stand dragging on the road, even with a higher rear shock fitted. It had to go unfortunately, my new system doesn't have such clearence issues (cheers Graham).

I'll have to look again, but it looks to me like the newer side stand that i fitted isnt going all the way up. Its like there is something in the mechanism that is limiting its travel. My old ground down side stand will sit right up against the exhaust pipes where as the new one sits a few cm's away.

I've had yamamoto and ethos half systems, the sidestand never got in the way (very close, but never touching).
Something sounds not right, or otherwise the back end of your bike is very low!

Interesting..
Well, orignally, it was quite low in the rear, but ive found that the nature of the chain adjusting eccentric hub will allow the ride height to be raised or lowered a bit, i of course have it oriented to give me all the ride height i can get. I reckon that thereis something wrong in the mechanism of the side stand. I will have a look tomarrow.

Keith just had a squiz at a pic of your bike in the gallery sectio, and the exhaust doesn't look to be sitting correctly (fouling the stand).
The exhaust needs to be pulled higher, you have a non standard muffler bracket also which looks like it sits the pipes too low.
There's no way you'll fit a stand on that where the pipes are now.

Every sysem I've had has always touched the side-stand apart from the standard one. So far, I've used Ethos, Yamamoto and Moriwaki. I'll see what happens now I have the JHA system.

Hmm yeaah i believe that bracket is off of an NC35.
I will have another look at it, but it seems the pipes are as high as they will go without hitting the rear shock linkages.
I do plan to modify the linkages to give me more height (a claimed 3.5cm) and a stiffer rear shock.
