sooooooooo long story short, I've stripped (or started to strip) my sump plug. I'm going to use a helicoil/recoil to redo the tread but 1st off I need to get the right size kit.

Now I could wait until I've drained the oil out to measure the sump bolt but I was hoping that perhaps somebody here could tell me the spec of the bolt. I am going to be attempting this all WITHOUT removing the sump.

I believe it's a 12mm bolt but I don't know the pitch.

If anybody knows the spec or has any experience I would be grateful. Please bear in mind that if I get the wrong kit I've pissed my money away so if you don't know the spec for an actual fact then probably best not to give me your "best guess" or "if I remember correctly"
