ive recently bought an fzr 400rrsp race bike ... im unsure of the year and need to buy some parts for it

so does anyone know how to determine the exact year using the frame/engine no ??

any help would be great

Have a look at Madsi's model guide - it lists frame numbers so you'll be able to get the model and hopefully go from there. http://www.madsi.co.uk/models.aspx Being a race bike things will have been changed so you'll still need to use you own judgement.

Are you racing it or using it as a trackbike ???

My frame no starts with 3tj ... ? Can you suggest where I could establish the age ?

Full on race bike its covered in bdk stuff so had plenty money spent on it .

Check the link in my previous reply. Most 3tjs were built about 89 - 90.

On that site it says 1TJ frame numbers... take it that's a typo? But seen a few other posts saying 1TJ too :)

Yes that should be 3TJ not 1TJ
