Hi all just going through my resent purchase of a 1990 nc30 done a few jobs on her and bike is runing ok just sounds a little fluffy I been told revs nice mind and rides nice but just woundering if anybody in South Wales area could just balance and set up the carbs as I been told this makes a great difference another thing I been told is to get the bike warm and spray carb cleaner in the 4 carb holes under the airbox and keep revs in 2,000 rpm ? As I'm not sure if I've received correct information idd ask on this section first I've changed spark plugs oil change and filters done so far

All the balance does is make sure that each cylinder is pulling the same amount of vacuum so that no one cylinder is overpowering the rest kind of thing - just affects your idle and a little above.
You can use carb cleaner sprayed (tiny amount) in each of the stacks to try and start the bike to see if it sparks etc so that you know fuel is the problem, though i wouldn't really recommend it. The other is spraying around the carb boots to check for air leaks and if the revs raise then you know there's a leak..
If the bikes sounding fluffy could be any of your jets depending where in the rev range is fluffy.. there's alot of info on here about this.

I've worked on this bike and it runs ok,just needs a balance as its a bit fluffy just above idle..probably could do with carbs off/cleaned/maybe re-jet as it has a tyga system on it..
