Can anyone of you tell me what material are the magtek wheels made of? Pure magnesium or alu-mag?
Infact in case of respraying they need sandblasting, dry zinc phosphating/chrome phosphating (depends on material) and paint powder coating or polyurethanic coating.

I believe the road magteks have quite a low magnesium content, and the mag content in the hrc race wheels is higher.
I'd be inclined to treat them both the same though, I. E. take them to a mag wheel specialist.

Just send em to TPCS or another reputable place, they know what their doing. If you have one of the road magteks off a NSR250sp then they've very little mag content

Thanks for your help, unfortunately I live in northern italy and have to arrange locally. In any case Pontoglio Vincenza phosphating treatments's great chief told me zinc phosphating destroies aluminium, so he suggested the dry chrome phosphating treatment instead of as the more appropriate on aluminium parts.
