I have just brought a 3TJ Race Bike that hasn't been running for many years. It is missing the starting solenoid and I want to know where it should be mounted. The bike has extensive modifications, so the original mounts may have been removed. Can someone advise or better still post a picture of its location? I assume it needs to be rubber mounted?

With all the pics I've taken I don't have one of the solenoid. It sits on the left (sidestand side)of the bike by the battery box, which is just where the subframe bolts to the mainframe. They have a rubber that goes around its body and clips onto a tab, I think it's on the front part of the mudgard
