Haven't posted on this forum for years as the nc30 has been stood unused for four years! Yes I know bad bad me.
Anyway, looking to get it on the road and so in the process of looking at what needs to be done, I took the awful fitting Tyga motogp style mudguard off to sort it as I had used cable ties to attach it. Unfortunately, the rear tab of the right hand bracket has broken off and the front tab is cracked.
I'm trying to remember as to how you put new brackets on the fork stanchions and I seem to remember that I will need to remove the forks which is annoying. Can anyone confirm this or has someone another idea/solution?

Yes you will have to remove the forks,
Then you will find a wire clip at the top of the fork above the bracket.

Happily, new mudguard brackets are still available from Honda - don`t buy the cheapies off ebay, the i/d is way too small and they simply don`t fit onto the fork slider...
