Hi everyone.

On a twinstack exhaust should the bore of the cans be the same bore as the pipework? The pipework that I have is 1 1/2 inches diameter.

I've just had a bloke make me some straight through cans up and they are 1 1/2 inch inlet and 2 inch bore through the silencer. Is this right?

Has anyone else had some new cans for a moriwaki system made up? Any chance of the dimensions?

Thanks

Hi Tom, I got your PM, but haven't had the chance to reply yetm but here's the measurements of my cans,

Inlet - 38mm
Outlet - 44mm
Slieve bore - 85mm
Slieve length - 395mm

The perforated tube goes on the outside of the inlet pipe and is on the inside of the outlet pipe, if you get what I mean. If you are not happy with them then I'd be straight back asking for them to be corrected.

the strap fits around the bottom can ok. But when I try to put it around the top I end up with gap of about 6mm where the 2 ends should clamp together.

do you have the tabs of the can strap either side of the exhaust hanger or both on one side?
