Neutral light comes on when clutch is pulled in

Hi all
I have a CBR 400 NC29 and I bought it in Oct 2014. It is 1990 and is CBR 400 RR L Model.
It is doing well, but for quite some time now, the neutral green light comes on when I pull the clutch in. Does anyone know why this is happening??

Does the side stand switch comes on as normal?

yea the side stand light comes on when I put the stand down. Also when I put the side stand down and pull the clutch in, the neutral light does not come on when in gear. But if you pull the stand up and you are in gear and pull the clutch in, the neutral light comes on again

Probably the switch in the gearbox is worn,the end of it gets worn out overtime .just unscrew it and stick a new one in!

The switch in the gearbox? I'm new to motorcycle mechanics....Please could you send me a picture of this maybe.....

Hi Bowches, the neutral switch is on the gear lever side at the bottom of the engine casing.
