hi all, I've got a recurring starting issue, if its left longer than a month it would start then cut out.. I've cleaned the carbs twice and thought i had solved the problem as it started again and ran fine in the garden... hasn't been out on the road for a few years as i had been restoring the bike. anyway started yesterday then turned it off to take a phone call... went to start it again but it was running very quiet as if it was struggling...
since this i have checked the fuel tap, checked if fuel is getting to the float chambers which it is, checked the spark which seems a bit weak so i put my old spark plugs back which are sparking better. but all I'm getting is a backfire....
its bugging me as it had new seals in the carbs in april, new mounting rubbers, new battery, rick o solenoid conversion, earth upgrade....
anyone got any ideas?
