shocking problem

I have an old CB1 which I was going to sell, but it may have to stay as a town bike. The suspension is a tad soft for my large frame, does anyone know of a straight swap for the rear shock, with a much heavier spring suitable for a 100Kg rider?

The only swap I know of is an early (pre 97 if I remember correctly) Fireblade shock but you have to fit the CB-1 spring so this isn't really going to help much. The damping is vastly improved but obviously not the spring rate. Hagon or YSS shocks are the most popular off the shelf items and you can specify a spring to match your weight.

cheers, should be ok if I leave the blade spring on it, and maybe get a longer hose for the remote res.

The Fireblade spring is actually softer than the CB-1 spring due to the Fireblade using a rising rate linkage on the rear suspension where as the CB-1 shock acts directly off the rear swing arm.
Keeping the Fireblade will definitely make things far worse
