Trying to buy some new springs for my front fork and I have a question as to which one to buy.

Vsource recommends FRSPS3534 but it goes on to say how they are shorter when they are longer. Is this a typo?

OR am I supposed to buy the springs that fit into a NC35 FRSPS3625

Thanks

EDIT: I am riding a NC30

The 3625 spring is as stock equivalent so if you are bigger than the average jap then you will need heavier springs.
Use the calculator on their site to work out the rate.

Oh crap! I forgot to mention that I own a NC30. Does this change which spring will fit?

Thanks

Ive never used them as I live in the UK but most suppliers code the springs relating to the dimensions
so the last set a got (cbr600) were 35 375 90, this relating to 35mm diameter x 375mm long with a rate of 0.9N

Id say that the fact they are 3525 is probably 35x250 or something like that, if you can get the dimensions you should be able to specify that size and then just change the last number to suit the rate you need.

Most us and uk riders are around .85 to .9

Don't think US use Newtons but easy conversation.

us colonials in canada also use metric so i am familiar with not using barley corns as a base of measurement

i am surprised that the 600 springs at 375 work for you. on vsource it lists the 400 free length springs are 277.3mm (10.92 in.)
http://www.vsource.org/VFR-RVF_files/Bvfr400r-mi.htm

did you have to do any modifications? if not then i found a set of 600 springs at 0.85 that will work for me
additionally the FRSP S3534 is 340mm long which would presumably work the same with a different spacer

thanks

Sorry mate they were for a 600 not NC.

You should be able to get exact or very close length from any good suspension service centre, if you get slightly longer or shorter then adjust the spacer length.

Ummm. I'd say so... ;)

The free length spec was simply lifted from the Honda Workshop Manual; I never actually measured the OEM fork springs, but I do recall that they were very short, and in order to get the sag I wanted, I did not have to use the OEM spacers with the RT springs. I had actually completely forgotten about those pages until you mentioned them. Glad they, er, "helped"...

Ciao,
