Hi all ,
Did any grey imports come with MPH speedos?
I have recently purchased an NC30 1989 that has an MPH unit fitted. Looks like a genuine Honda unit however , I wonder if its factory. Chances are probably not and its been changed Im guessing.
There is no MOT history for this bike online to Confirm the mileage. Its apparently been in a garage for over 10 years.
Thanks
Jim

No, only UK MODELS had mph speedos.
Was it for sale in Aldershot?.

Some people fit mph clock faces to km speedos usually the maker can be seen on the face redial was one along with others or could be from a UK spec bike if the cover has been fitted also giveaway is the high beam warning light is completely blue whereas imports were half blue and amber.
Or bike may well be a UK spec model you have.

All UK-spec frame numbers began "NC30-2xxxxxx", and 1990 was the first year for the UK.

No Arsey30 was from Watlington chap. Thanks Dave , I might post a pic later so you guys can have a look to see what you think. No not a UK I dont think. My vin is something like NC30-100050... Definitely an 89 by looking it up online. My plan is to restore it back to a nice condition - at the moment its really tatty. It doest even have a throttle haha Im looking for the throttle unit if anyone is selling one?
