I recently acquired a VFR400 NC30. I'm having trouble getting the rear seat off. The key turns the lock but I can't remove the seat. I think the cable may have come off? Any ideas on how to remove it? I have taken off all the bodywork bolts I could get to to try and get my hand in there but there is not enough room. Any help would be appreciated.

Try pressing down on the seat at the rear as you turn the key
The cable runs along the left side of the subframe if you can get to it with long nose pliers whilst depressing seat try pulling the outer cable.
