Not sure what to do now!!! Got CJ's fzr 4jh motor/ cdi ect from him and was going to just ebay some bits off and out of the way and have the 400 for the missus and 600 for a rough track tool.

But been reading the conversion thread and im seriously tempted to convert, the only thing is im 6'4" and not the lightest so i'll probably never get to ride it properly.....Bugger

Thoughts? any larger riders manage without huge back problems on a tichey 400????

I reckon you would be better off with a FZR1000 EXUP if fizzers are your thing as they are pretty big. I feel a bit cramped on my 4003TJ and I'm only 5'9" and 14 stone.

Have you ridden the 400 or is it not in a fit state to use? I'm doing the 600 conversion and it is a reasonable amount of work to then not use the result.

I got my MOT done with the 400 motor still in so that I get a reasonable bit of tinker time before its next test.

Fireblades are my thing really but got this for a project bike over the winter. Not sure if ill even ride it well not in anger anyway, was going to let the missus have it when it was finished so decided to go ahead with the conversion and sell all my bits that are left over (be cleaning and posting everything spare soon).

What do 3tj engines fetch these days?

Do it Simon...you know it makes sense.. :o :poke:

You might be a large sized person but unless you rode it all day long I reckon you might get away with it. NC30 are smaler than the 3TJ's are and I manage OK.

In the end, fuel stop to fuel stop will be just right.

i dont have any probs with 400 size (i might look a bit daft maybe) as im 6,2" its actually not too uncomfortable.town riding can be a pain in the wrists but otherwise id be happy to take it anywhere it is very useable!
