Guys,
My Hi/Lo headlight switch has went to a better place and shuffled its mortal coil.
Having had a quick search regarding the problems and solutions already posted, id like to resurrect and ask has anyone successfully transplanted a new switch unit into the control cluster from bike or supplier (ie RS, Maplins etc?)
Or am i looking at a new one from Mr Honda or uned one from Ebay? Can the NC30 controls be used?
Cheers,
Simon

Update. After a bit of jiggery pokery, a screwdriver and a bit of ingenuity, its working again.
If like me, you lose the spring (which i thinks a common occurrence), the lower spring out of a propelling pencil fits best with a wee bit of drilling (4mm) in the plastic carrier. The spring did need cut down though.
The rest needed a bit of filing and the contacts bent up etc. all greased up. working a treat again.
I ordered one online and coming from Japan. Will keep in the box as a spare.

I'd like to piggyback on this and ask if anyone knows of a newer kit that will fit the NC30. Wiring is not an issue, as I'm pretty good at reading a diagram and figuring it out. I would like to keep the on/off and flash to pass options...

there are plenty of copies from the far east that will just plug and play, if you dont mind cutting the plugs off and fitting your own (you can just solder the wires but a proper plug will allow easy removal) then you can fit pretty much anything.
When I was rebuilding my ftr I think i used cbr600rr switchgear and some generic plugs.
Or maybe it was cbr125 or somethign :D I just bought the cheapest ones i coudl find.

Thanks for the options guys! Now to find one in the UK and have it shipped. The nanny state here made it a law that motorcycle headlights must come on automatically when the bike is started.
