HT Lead connection to plug caps?

Alright everyone,

Long story shot, ive fitted my restrictors (boooo..) to my VFR this weekend. Was running spot on before i did this. So put it all back together and it started okayish after a few goes. Took it for a ride down the road and felt abit low on power, like it was running on 3.

So ive got it home, taken the plugs out, they where all abit wet. So gonna take them to work and put them on the spark plug rig and see how they are. Other issue is as ive taken a HT lead off on cylinder 3, the HT lead has come off in my hand and left the plug cap in the head :| ive managed to get it off and its snapped off right down inside, are they on screw thread sort of arrangement like car ones? or are they soldered on or something? I'm thinking if i can get the insides out the rubber bit i can repair it? Any one any ideas on this? or do i need to order a new one? hoping i can just change the leads and caps rather than the coil itself?

Ive searched through loads of old threads but struggled to find anything...

Cheers!

Tom :)

If OEM, leads and caps are one piece and screw into ignition coils. Genuine replacements leads/plug caps are probably expensive if available, Rick Oliver has aftermarket replacements or you should be able to find something suitable from NGK or others, try google.

Changed my front pair last week for these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CBR-600 ... 1606858632
As the cap is moulded onto the lead they are a lot better than the plastic screw on caps. All you need to do is unscrew the coil end, pull the rubber seal and 'nut' off the old lead, pop it on the new lead and screw it back on the coil. It's a 2 minute job, once you have the coil off.
